¡Alerta destacada! Caballo de rodeo mexicano!

Highlight Alert! Mexican Rodeo Horse! Dorito has competed from the Mexican Rodeo circuit, to the east coast giving lessons in the arena! Dorito gets his name honestly. He is more of a “cool ranch” flavor. From his goofy, friendly and outgoing personality, to his loud colored white socks- Dorito is one of a kind caballo. He has such a gentle disposition, and integrity every time you get on his back. Dorito does whatever has been asked of him, with a willing attitude. His resume stretches about a mile long. He has competed in multiple events in the rodeo circuit, used to doctor cattle in the pasture, sort in the pens, and is no stranger to outside miles on the ranch. Dorito is a handy horse to have around, you can rope a cow, step off to doctor it, and he will hold the rope tight until you are done. Take him in the arena, and he rides around like a horse that could go right into a ranch class and be competitive. Watch him ride in an english saddle, and he will extend out and look just as pretty. He will ride off of your leg and seat cues, or just as easily point and go for the novice rider.

Dorito is a joy to have in the barn. Don’t let his name fool you, Tigger is not a (spicy, hot) horse to ride, he has a walk, trot and lope that is smooth as butter. Ask him to extend out in a trot, or scale down to a slow western jog, and rocker chair lope.

He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. Pictures don’t do him justice, he stands about 14’3 hands, and weighs about 1,300 lbs. This is a solid made gelding, with good foot and bone. He has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. Sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
