Bigfoot gets his name honestly- if you are looking for a safe, gentle and versatile draft cross gelding- here he is! Bigfoot is a clydesdale/percheron cross with fancy movement. He has great confirmation, and is versatile enough to do just about anything. His resume is longer than most- he has done everything from riding English, to working in the hay wagon in the summer. He rides both english & western, does tricks, and has started jumping, and liberty work. Don’t feel like riding? Hook him up and take him for a Sunday afternoon drive through the country. Bigfoot is a gelding that we have had in our program since the beginning of the year. He has been hauled all over and trail ridden by beginners. Everyone that comes to the barn wants to ride Bigfoot. He has had kids to grandparents on his back, single, double, and triple, and always takes care of his rider. He is soft in the face, and responsive to leg cues, but just as easily point and go. He will be the first to greet you at the gate, and happy to do whatever you ask of him. He can be turned out with other horses, or kept in the stall without any vices. He will side-pass over to a mounting block, rock, log, or ledge, or just lay him down to make mounting a breeze. He has been exposed to farm machinery, busy traffic, and gunfire, and he is the same sturdy horse in new situations. He has been the same horse with time off as he is in a 5 day training program.
