Gunsmoke is a 10 year old registered grullo gelding. Wilywood, Poco Beuno, King, Doc Bar and Tamulena bloodlines. This is a very circumstantial sale. For the last year, I have spent getting my mother’s dream horse ready for her to ride. Unfortunately, life circumstances change, and as hard as a decision as this was, he will be offered for sale. Gunsmoke is one of the best horses I have had the opportunity to work with. He has such a gentle disposition, and integrity every time you get on his back. The video that you will be watching is pulling him straight out of the pasture after not being ridden in over 5 months. I truly want everyone to see how broke this gelding stays with time off. Watch as I pull the bridle off and lope him around the pasture. He had every opportunity to act like most horses would with time off, but he was so willing to please.

 Gunsmoke is a joy to be around in the pasture, with his kind, soft eye, and goofy personality. You can walk out into the pasture showing him the halter, and he will come running to you. I have used him at a wedding reception, directing traffic, and parking cars, we have trail ridden him in state parks and he has done great each time. He has great foot, and bone, correct conformation, color and a great brain between his ears. Let’s touch upon that. I get calls everyday, with people asking me for a horse with his color, and I always recommend finding a horse with a brain first, and color as a secondary notion. Finding a horse this broke, with his willingness to do whatever it is that you ask is a rarity. 

Gunsmoke is great for the vet, stands quietly for the farrier, and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knee’s, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. Because he has been a personal horse here, he has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle, you name it. He is 100% sound, up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, health paper, you name it. I do not like to talk a horse up this much unless they earn it, and this gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot at our farm.
