River- Mccues River Bar- Sold

Watch Video! Ridden by a 75 yr old man that has used River to break Thoroughbred 2 year olds, and has been the go-to stable pony at the racetrack. River has been this gentleman’s personal horse for the last year and a half, and there is not a thing wrong with him. “I wouldn’t be selling this great guy but my 75 year old body just isn’t holding up as well as I had hoped. Just had my 2nd major operation in two years and will need another one as soon as I get back on my feet from foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. A new hip is next. You won’t look at another horse after you meet River.” Attached will be a full Pre-Purchase Exam, with vet report and clean radiographs available upon request.

River has been in the mountains on some very rough trails, jumping downed trees and logs and crossing rivers either leading the pack, or is just as content to be in the middle or the back of the group. Mccues River Bar is an 8 yr old Registered Paint gelding that can do it all. He was raised on a cattle farm and was broke the right way was used for all the cattle work. He’s sorted, and gathered in the pasture. He was previously roped off of on both ends and is a very handy tool to have around. River has had over 60 days reining training, and will quietly move off of leg cues. He has a nice one step lope, and big ground covering walk and jog you can sit all day. 

River is the first horse to greet you at the gate in the morning, galloping to the gate when he hears the screen door close in the morning. Great personality and loves attention. Stands to mount/dismount, blacksmith, grooming and loads and hauls like a pro. Recent vetting is 100% sound.
