Pongo-Sold
Born in the wrong litter of the 101 dalmations? Pongo sits like a dog, acts like a dog and is just as loyal and honest as man’s best friend. Here is a gelding that we have owned for the past year. Watch his video, and you will see why we have enjoyed keeping him around. Gentle, flashy and sound (x-rays available.) This past summer he was ridden out in the woods, trail ridden by an 11 year old kid, exposing him to deer, road traffic, heavy equipment, turkey and cattle. Pongo originally got his name from the 101 dalmations, but he carries the nickname “Eeyore” more times than not. His go-with-the-flow disposition, and willing personality makes our job easy. Pongo has a nice extended stride at the long trot, or will slow it down for a jog. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, and stocky enough to carry a wide variety of riders. He rides with the same integrity every time you get on his back. Pongo has more whoa than go, so if you are looking for a prospect for a timed event, he may not be your guy. If you are looking for a horse to enjoy, ride in the arena, down the trail and have a companion- look no further. He has a nice supple walk, trot and lope. He is sure-footed outside, carefully placing his feet to take care of his rider in any situation. He has been ridden in metroparks with runners, stollers, dogs, traffic, and handles it all in stride. Pongo stands quietly on a tie line, cross ties, ground ties, and quiet as a church mouse on the trailer. He gets along great with the other horses in the pasture and has great stall manners. Pongo is up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
